Persija Jakarta claimed their home victory 2-0 over spirited PSS Sleman at Stadion Lebak Bulus, to tighten the pressure in the Liga Bank Mandiri title race.
Substitute Bambang Pamungkas grabbed both goals after six match without goal. On 50 minutes Bambang Pamungkas climbed off the bench late in the game to break the deadlock with a near-post header. And when he swept in the second on 69 minutes in the 2-0 success, draw record between Persija vs PSS was over.
Daniel Roekito's 3-5-2 looked to have survived an opening 20 minutes first half. Captain Deca became an inspirator to break Persija's defense. On 10 minutes Ritham Madubun lost Seto's manuver, but Leke's header from Seto's pass just fly over the crossbar.
And then Macan Kemayoran showed more offense. Joice Sorongan with a brilliant reflex save Agus Indra Kurniawan's shot on 28 minutes. Nightmare for Elja came after the break when Nova Zaenal substituted by Bambang "flying Jak-man" Pamungkas.
PSS failed on two away but they've showed more fight and spirit in every minutes to try to justify the points.
