PKS Stop PSS's Run

02 March 2004

PSS's position pretensions were exposed as an expensively away by a dominant Pelita KS side, who ran 2-0 winners at Stadion Krakatau, Cilegon.

PKS looked to have sealed a routine victory at home to Danurwindo's side within just one minute. Denny Ariyanto struck his goal for the Volcano with just 45 seconds gone
before Elja could recover their heads.

Instead, PKS started to speed on their lead, while PSS tried to woke up from the shock.
But the second-half was a different story. PSS tried to raised the tempo from the break and refused to give up. Elja should have taken the lead after at least five golden chance from Leke, Deca, Seto and Fajar. PSS recovered their composure from that blow before PKS struck again, with Samuel Chebli on 77 minutes strike from the fast break.

When midfielder Chebli swept in the second in the 2-0 success with thirteen minutes left, Elja's six-match unbeaten run was over.
